Retired Navy, Operation Desert Storm, Enduring and Iraqi Freedom veteran. I’m a 14-year hereditary colon cancer syndrome WARRIOR. Diagnosed with attenuated FAP after my 1st and only colonoscopy at age of 51, asymptomatic and no family history. Underwent successful total-proctocolectomy w permanent ileostomy and pancreas-sparing duodenectomy resection surgeries. I’m a live-case presentation for the Stanford School of Medicine, Molecular Foundations of Medicine course and MS Program in Human Genetics and Genetic Counseling program. I’m a virtual live-case presentation for medical students globally.

My purpose is to educate medical students about attenuated FAP continuing the legacy of Dr. Henry T. Lynch on the importance of early detection and prevention in hopes of saving lives.

My mantra is a positive spin on a bleak diagnosis: Always Forge Ahead w a Purpose!
