A trait or genetic disorder that is inherited from a gene that is on a non-sex chromosome and only requires a single copy of the gene from one parent for the trait to occur. In contrast, Autosomal Recessive Inheritance requires two copies of the gene, one from both parents, for the trait or disorder to occur.
